It's Sarah Burke here reflecting on the upcoming one-year anniversary of Women in Media Network. Wasn't it just yesterday that I announced a women-first home for podcasters and other underrepresented creators looking to stand out, speak out, and creating content they own?
I'm proud of the podcasters who started this journey with me, and the ways we're all adapting for new opportunities and challenges. I'm also excited to welcome new creators. Since it's been a hot minute, let me introduce you to some new voices who are helping me celebrate International Women's Day on March 8th.
Kortney Wilson recently launched the Shit Stick of Life Podcast on a personal healing journey with a dose of humour. It's for people who have used their misfortunes to their advantage, launching vibrant, fulfilling, and meaningful next chapters. With a craving for authentic storytelling, Kortney has been rockin' her first few interviews and I can't wait for you to hear the upcoming episodes.
Join the live audience for a recording with special guest, award-winning artist Lindsay Ell, at The Academy in Toronto (inside Universal Music Canada). The two television personalities and musicians will share their journeys from Canada to Nashville, reflecting on both the milestones and the challenges they have faced in the spotlight. Kortney will speak to Lindsay about how her latest EP was born out of radical self-love while they take some questions from an intimate audience. Meet and greet, merch, and pictures will be available.

Come earlier that afternoon for a live recording of Megan Hamilton's podcast Embracing Enchantment with special guest Tarot Lori. Megan bridges the empirical with the intuitive, encouraging listeners to find the most enchanted version of themselves through tarot and astrology, witchcraft, shadow work, human design, moon cycles and manifestation. Megan has been inspired by the magic of ritual for over 25 years, as both a professional tarot reader and a speaking coach.
Known as Tarot Lori for over thirty years, Lori Dyan is a popular media guest, keynote speaker, and event entertainer and a proud member of the Peguis First Nation. Her bestselling first book, Burn Your Sh*t, teaches the transformative power of rituals and she'll tell you all about her new book Big Deck Energy, a unique hybrid of tarot how-to and spiritual self-help for tarot newbies, seasoned pros, or anyone who is trying to figure out life. Are we even ready to see these two in action together? Personalized readings will be available after the show.
